become a ttf volunteer!
In addition to fostering, there are lots of volunteer opportunities within our rescue, each playing a vital role in saving and caring for animals.
- Adoption Events – Set up and break down event spaces, handle cats, talk with potential adopters, and help match them with pets.
- Transport Volunteers – Drive cats to/from vet appointments, foster homes, or adoption events. Sometimes transport includes picking up supplies or donations.
- Medical Support – Vet techs, nurses, or experienced volunteers can help with medication, wound care, or bottle-feeding neonates.
- Trapping/TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) – humanely trap community cats for spay/neuter and return. Monitor colonies and provide food and water if needed.
- Marketing & Social Media – Manage social media pages, take photos and/or videos, write bios. Help design flyers, newsletters, or promotional materials.
- Fundraising & Grant Writing – Plan events, online fundraisers, or donation drives. Apply for grants or seek corporate sponsorships.
- Community Outreach – Educate the public on spay/neuter, adoption, and responsible pet ownership. Help build relationships with schools, vet clinics, or local businesses.
volunteers are essential
A diverse skill set is essential to the success of an animal rescue organization because rescue work involves many complex and interconnected tasks. No one person can do it all, and a team with a broad range of expertise ensures every area is covered with professionalism and care.
Adoption Events – Set up and break down event spaces, handle cats, talk with potential adopters, and help match them with pets.

- Marketing and social media volunteers help attract adopters and supporters
When people with different strengths – whether it’s animal care, organization, communication, or logistics – work together, the rescue runs smoothly, makes better decisions, and ultimately saves more animals. A rescue thrives not just on passion, but on teamwork that leverages everyone’s unique abilities.
